This first generation entrepreneur had the spirit of experimentation and a passion to excel which lead to foundation of Jaysingpur Oil Mills in 1935.

Since over 8 decades, Desai Family has been settled in Jaysingpur. Our grandfather being one of the leading businessman and industrialist in Sangli & Aligadh District, the then Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaja of Kolhapur State invited our family head to develop pioneering industrial activities. The Chhatrapati was generous to offer our grandfather full support and further offered ten acres of land in Jaysingpur to expand the business activities.


From that day, Desai Group has grown into multi-disciplinary activities in Kolhapur and Sangli Districts.

Our constant endeavour is to keep up to his standards.

The second generation of Desai Family was sparkled by young, enthusiastic, intelligent and hard working Late Sheth Shri Gulabchandbhai Nathalal Desai.

He was gifted with a more enterprising heart and analytical mind. He is remembered for his successful promotions of various business and industrial activities in our group.

The late Shri Kiranbhai Desai, a man with clear vision of tomorrow; rock solid in fundamentals. His kind heartiness is remembered by everyone who had an opportunity to come across and have been touched by his work.

He started the Textile Activity from scratch to show us that sky is the limit. He was the man who is been credited to bring automatic weaving machines to the decentralized sector of the country. He showed the mill sector in Textiles what miracles can a decentralized sector can do.



We hold our heads high that we had a fortune of having a visionary, a man of action and a true entrepreneur.
